Please read these Terms carefully before using SquirrelScore.
This single document is the Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for SquirrelScore. It replaces the prior separate Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy dated 18 January 2025, as of the Effective Date above.
These online properties and related resources (collectively, the "Websites" or "Services") are owned and operated by Christopher Mastic ("SquirrelScore," "we," "us," or "our"):

These Terms also apply to related SquirrelScore subdomains and online resources we operate for the same Services, unless a specific property posts a different notice that expressly controls.
By accessing or using the Services - including by creating an account, signing in, submitting a public form, accepting a judge invitation, downloading materials, browsing the marketing site or wiki, or otherwise using SquirrelScore - you ("you," "your") agree to abide by these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (together, these "Terms"), published at https://wiki.squirrelscore.com/en/legal/terms-of-service-and-privacy-policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services or download materials from the Websites.
Where a feature requires an explicit acknowledgment (for example, an "I Agree" control, invitation acceptance, or form submission), that acknowledgment also constitutes acceptance of these Terms for that use.
We may amend these Terms at any time as described in Section A.30. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent.

| Public Form | An unauthenticated submission flow such as contestant application, volunteer application, Pop Questions, or judge agreement (via invitation link). |
The Services are for adults only.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old (and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to access or use the Services in any capacity - including as a visitor, Account holder, Contest Producer, Judge, Tallymaster, Contestant, Volunteer, applicant, or Public Form submitter.
We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process Personal Information from or about minors. We do not permit Contests, applications, or accounts for persons under 18 on the platform. Minors introduce unacceptable legal and operational risk; there is no parental-consent exception on SquirrelScore.
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are an adult meeting the age requirement above and that you will not submit information about minors through the Services. Age eligibility is a contractual / Terms requirement. The software does not independently verify government ID or date of birth at signup or on Public Forms; users and Producers are responsible for complying with this adults-only rule. If we learn that a minor has used the Services or that minor data was submitted, we may delete related data and terminate related access without liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Contest Producers may not use custom form fields, offline workarounds, or Contest rules to enroll minors on SquirrelScore. Offline events involving minors are outside the Services and remain solely the Producer's responsibility - but must not be operated through SquirrelScore Accounts, forms, scoring, or exports for those minors.
SquirrelScore provides contest operations and scoring tools. Depending on your role and Contest configuration, the Services may include:
SquirrelScore may add, change, or remove features over time. Without promising availability, future or potential capabilities may include (for example): public APIs or developer integrations; native mobile applications; paid subscriptions or contest fees processed by third-party payment providers; additional analytics dashboards; community messaging tools; AI-assisted scoring suggestions or moderation aids; SMS or push notifications; and expanded organization-level billing accounts.
Until a future capability is enabled for your Account or Contest, related sections of these Terms describing that capability apply only to the extent the capability is actually offered to you.
SquirrelScore may offer Beta Features (including optional Contest modules such as Chaos Ops while under active iteration, or future AI-assisted tools). By using a Beta Feature you acknowledge that:
Subject to these Terms, SquirrelScore grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to access, use, and display the Websites and Materials for their intended contest-operations purposes.
This authorization is not a transfer of title in the Materials and is subject to these restrictions:
The Websites, including all Materials, are copyrighted and protected by worldwide copyright laws and treaty provisions. Except as expressly provided herein, SquirrelScore does not grant any express or implied right to you under any patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade-secret information.
Where an Account is created for you (by a Producer, Admin, invitation flow, or other authorized process) or you update Account information, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. False or misleading information may result in suspension or termination of access.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your Account. We strongly recommend enabling MFA where available. You must promptly notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may update certain profile information and credentials through Account settings. Site Admins may disable login access, clear MFA for non-admin users in support scenarios, or combine duplicate Accounts as described in our support tools. Producers may manage Contest memberships for people in their Contests, subject to Contest ownership and role rules.
Self-service Account deletion is not available in the Account settings interface today. To request Account closure, contact [email protected]. For privacy-specific deletion or access requests, contact [email protected]. We will process requests as described in Part B, subject to legal retention needs and Contest-record obligations of Producers.
Producers are responsible for:
Judges must, in good faith and without bias, evaluate Contestants honestly and according to Contest rules; keep scoring confidential until official release as directed by the Producer/Tallymaster; and report conflicts of interest or suspected integrity issues to the Producer promptly.
Tallymasters must handle locking, monitoring, timing, adjustments (where enabled), results, and exports carefully; preserve scoring integrity; and avoid premature disclosure of results contrary to Contest procedure.
Contestants and applicants must submit truthful information; follow Contest rules and deadlines; and refrain from disallowed Content.
Volunteers must follow Producer instructions and platform policies, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive Contest and personal information they access.
Admins must use elevated access only for legitimate site operation, security, and support purposes.
Certain Contests allow submissions without a full Account login, including contestant applications, volunteer applications, Pop Questions, and judge agreements via invitation link.
By submitting a Public Form you agree that:
You retain ownership of User Content you submit. By submitting User Content, you grant SquirrelScore a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute that Content solely as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services and to enable Contest workflows you participate in.
Contest configuration, scores, locks, adjustments, exports, and related operational records are processed to run the Contest. As between Producer and participants, Contest operational records are administered by the Contest's Producer for Contest purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law. SquirrelScore may use aggregated or de-identified data to improve the Services.
We may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms, appears unlawful, or creates security or integrity risk. Producers may approve, reject, or remove Contest-related submissions within their Contest tools.
SquirrelScore is a software platform for contest operations and scoring. SquirrelScore is not the sponsor, promoter, or prize administrator of Contests created by Producers, unless we expressly agree otherwise in a separate written agreement.
Without limitation:
You are prohibited from compromising the security or tampering with system resources and/or Accounts related to the Websites. The use or distribution of tools designed for compromising security (for example, password guessing, cracking tools, or network probing tools) is strictly prohibited.
SquirrelScore may monitor use of the Services to help ensure compliance with these Terms. If you become involved, or are suspected to have become involved, in any violation of these Terms, SquirrelScore reserves the right to investigate and, where appropriate, disclose details to governmental authorities, affected users, or other parties as permitted by law.
Without limitation, you agree not to:
Contests must be run honestly. We reserve the right to investigate suspicious activity and to suspend Accounts or Contests involved in fraud, scoring manipulation, unauthorized access, or other integrity violations. Participants who violate Contest rules or these Terms may be barred from future use.
Producers and Tallymasters are responsible for using locking, adjustments, tiebreakers, and exports in accordance with their Contest rules. SquirrelScore provides tools; it does not independently certify Contest winners unless expressly agreed in a separate writing.
The Websites may now or in the future contain bulletin boards, chat areas, forums, calendars, messaging, reviews, or other communication facilities (collectively, "Communication Services"). If and when such features are available, you agree to use them only for proper, related communications and subject to the prohibited-conduct rules above.
SquirrelScore has no obligation to monitor Communication Services, but may review, edit, refuse, or remove materials and may terminate access at any time. Always use caution when sharing personally identifying information in any Communication Service. SquirrelScore does not control or endorse user messages in Communication Services and disclaims liability for your participation therein to the fullest extent permitted by law.
All content, materials, and programs included on or associated with the hosted Websites - including the SquirrelScore service experience, text, graphics, logos, look and feel, documentation, wiki content we publish, scoring workflows as presented in the Services, and related Materials - are the exclusive property of or licensed to SquirrelScore unless explicitly stated otherwise.
These Terms are private terms of use for the hosted SquirrelScore service. Access to the Services does not grant you ownership of SquirrelScore's brand, documentation, Contest data belonging to others, or any right to copy, mirror, scrape, resell, or operate a competing service using SquirrelScore Materials.
Platform-related assets include, without limitation: user interface design as presented to you; dashboards and reports; contest workflows; documentation and wiki content; scoring logic as implemented in the Services; generated branding assets we provide; and SquirrelScore's name and logos.
SquirrelScore's hosted service may include or depend on software components made available by third parties under open-source licenses (including, without limitation, licenses in the GPL, LGPL, AGPL, MIT, Apache, BSD, or similar families), as well as proprietary components.
Nothing in these Terms changes the license terms of those third-party components themselves. If a component is licensed to the public under an open-source license, that license continues to govern that component as a separate work, to the extent required by that license.
However:
The trademarks, service marks, and logos used and displayed on the Websites are registered and unregistered trademarks of SquirrelScore and others. Nothing on the Websites should be construed as granting any license or right to use any Trademark without prior written permission of the Trademark owner. The names SquirrelScore, Chris Mastic, related logos, and formatives may not be used in advertising or publicity pertaining to distribution of Materials without prior written permission.
SquirrelScore prohibits use of SquirrelScore logos as part of a link to or from any site unless approved in advance in writing, except for the limited linking consent in Section A.18.
Fair use of SquirrelScore's trademarks requires proper acknowledgment. Other product and company names mentioned on the Websites may be trademarks of their respective owners.
SquirrelScore respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. If you believe Content on the Services infringes your copyright, you may send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. Section 512) to:

We may remove or disable access to material claimed to be infringing and may terminate repeat infringers' access in appropriate circumstances. Any comments or materials sent to SquirrelScore - including questions, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Services (collectively, "Feedback") - shall be deemed non-confidential. SquirrelScore shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such Feedback and shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, exhibit, display, transform, create derivative works from, and distribute the Feedback without limitation, and to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques contained in Feedback for any purpose, including developing and improving products and services.
As a convenience, SquirrelScore may provide links to websites operated by other entities (including wiki resources, security challenges, email provider pages, or future payment processors). If you use those sites, you leave the Websites and do so at your own risk. SquirrelScore makes no warranty or representation regarding, and does not endorse, linked sites or their products or services.
All links to the Websites must be approved in writing by SquirrelScore, except that SquirrelScore consents to links in which:
SquirrelScore may revoke this consent at any time in its sole discretion.
User documentation and support materials are published primarily at https://wiki.squirrelscore.com, including these Terms at https://wiki.squirrelscore.com/en/legal/terms-of-service-and-privacy-policy. Documentation is provided for convenience and may lag feature changes. In case of conflict between documentation and the live Services (especially the application at https://beta.squirrelscore.com), the live Services and these Terms control unless we expressly state otherwise.
We strive for reliable availability but do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation. Maintenance, incidents, or third-party outages may affect access. Where reasonably practicable, we will communicate significant maintenance windows.
SquirrelScore may perform backups of Service data and use commercially reasonable efforts to restore service after incidents. Backup practices may evolve; Producers remain responsible for exporting Contest records they need to retain.
Force majeure. SquirrelScore is not liable if and insofar as obligations cannot be fulfilled because of force majeure, including circumstances beyond reasonable control such as acts of God; war or terrorism; governmental actions; network, power, or Internet disruptions; cyber-attacks; labor disputes; supplier failures; or similar events. We may suspend obligations during force majeure and will use commercially reasonable efforts to resume performance.
SquirrelScore does not currently process Contest entry fees or subscriptions inside the application. If paid features are introduced, payment will typically be processed by a third-party processor. Card data would be handled by that processor under its terms and privacy policy. Additional billing terms may be presented at purchase time.
Today, SquirrelScore is primarily a server-rendered web application used through a browser (including mobile browsers). There is no general public developer API product and no required native mobile app.
If we offer APIs, SDKs, or native apps in the future:
SquirrelScore may suspend or terminate access to the Websites, Services, Materials, Content, and any Communication Services at any time, with or without notice, for suspected or actual violation of these Terms, security risk, unlawful conduct, non-payment for future paid features, or to protect the Services or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services stops. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and privacy terms) will survive.
INFORMATION AND SERVICES ON THE WEBSITES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Information on the Websites may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors and may be changed or updated without notice. SquirrelScore may make improvements and/or changes to products and programs at any time without notice.
SquirrelScore strives to display information accurately, including colors of images, but cannot guarantee that your display will be accurate. Despite conscientious efforts, some items may be described inaccurately or be unavailable, and updates may be delayed. SquirrelScore reserves the right to change or update information and to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice.
IN NO EVENT WILL SQUIRRELSCORE BE LIABLE TO ANY PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES FOR ANY USE OF THE WEBSITES OR SERVICES, OR ON ANY OTHER HYPERLINKED WEBSITE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF PROGRAMS OR OTHER DATA, COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, CONTEST OUTCOMES, SCORING DISPUTES, PRIZE DISPUTES, EXPORTS, STAGE TOOLS, BETA FEATURES, EMAIL DELIVERY FAILURES, OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, EVEN IF WE ARE EXPRESSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORTIOUS BEHAVIOR, NEGLIGENCE, OR UNDER ANY OTHER CAUSE OF ACTION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SQUIRRELSCORE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE, THE SERVICES, OR THE CONTENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNTS (IF ANY) YOU PAID TO SQUIRRELSCORE FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. IF YOU HAVE PAID NO FEES TO SQUIRRELSCORE, THEN - TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW - SQUIRRELSCORE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL BE US $0.00 (ZERO).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including (where such exclusion is prohibited) liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THE SITE, THE SERVICES, THE CONTENT, OR THESE TERMS, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS TO DISCONTINUE USING THE SITE, THE SERVICES, AND/OR THE CONTENT, EXCEPT FOR REMEDIES THAT CANNOT BE WAIVED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You understand and agree that you are personally responsible for your reliance upon any information or recommendation provided on the Websites, its Content and Materials, by SquirrelScore's personnel, your behavior on the Websites, and your Submissions. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SquirrelScore and SquirrelScore's joint venturers, business partners, licensors, employees, agents, officers, directors, managers, owners, and any third-party information, software, Content, Materials, and service providers to the Websites and Services from and against all claims, losses, expenses, damages, and costs (including, but not limited to, direct, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, exemplary, and indirect damages), and reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from or arising out of:
You may not use the Websites in violation of U.S. export laws and regulations. You agree not to use the Services for prohibited destinations or end users. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
The Websites are controlled, operated, and administered by SquirrelScore from within the United States of America. As an operational / deployment practice, Service data is hosted and processed in the United States (including on infrastructure we operate or that our processors operate on our behalf). This is a hosting disclosure, not a software feature that end users can toggle inside the application.
If you access the Services from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative. You are responsible for compliance with local laws. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your Personal Information and Contest data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your country. You consent to that transfer to the extent consent is a valid basis under applicable law, and otherwise acknowledge the transfer as necessary to provide the Services you request.
SquirrelScore makes no representation that Materials are appropriate or available for use at locations outside the United States, and access from territories where contents are illegal is prohibited.
The laws of the State of Florida, United States, shall govern these Terms, without giving effect to conflict-of-laws provisions that would require another jurisdiction's law.
Step 1 - Informal resolution. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact [email protected] and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days (unless urgent injunctive relief is needed).
Step 2 - Forum. If the dispute is not resolved informally, then - to the extent permitted by applicable law - either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules (English language; single arbitrator), or through the state or federal courts located in Florida. We intend this clause to allow a practical path to resolution without mandating a single exclusive consumer-arbitration regime where that would be inappropriate or unenforceable.
Provisional relief. Either party may seek provisional injunctive or similar relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property, security, or Confidential information, without first completing informal resolution or arbitration.
Jury trial / class procedures. To the extent permitted by law, you and SquirrelScore waive the right to a jury trial and agree that disputes will be handled only on an individual basis (not as a class, consolidated, or representative action), except where such waiver is prohibited.
If a court or arbitrator finds part of this dispute-resolution section unenforceable, the remainder still applies to the maximum extent permitted.
By using the Services or providing an email address, you consent to receive notices and other communications by SquirrelScore posting notices on the Websites, sending email to the address associated with your Account or submission, displaying in-product notices, and - if and when enabled - push notifications or SMS for critical account or Contest notices.
You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that SquirrelScore provides electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. Notice shall be deemed given 24 hours after posting on the Websites or sending an electronic message, unless the sending party is notified that the message did not reach the recipient.
You agree that a printed version of these Terms and/or any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to these Terms to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.
You may be able to reduce non-essential notices in Account settings when such controls exist, but you must still receive essential security and legal notices.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms at https://wiki.squirrelscore.com/en/legal/terms-of-service-and-privacy-policy and update the "Last Modified" date. For material changes, we may also provide electronic notice (for example, email or an in-product notice) where required by law or otherwise appropriate. Your continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
Pursuant to 47 U.S.C. Section 230(d) as amended, we hereby notify you that parental control protections (such as computer hardware, software, or filtering services) are commercially available that may assist you in limiting access to material that is harmful to minors. Information identifying current providers of such protections is available from consumer-protection resources such as OnGuard Online / similar FTC consumer sites. We do not endorse any particular filtering product. This notice does not change our adults-only eligibility rule in Section A.3.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between SquirrelScore and you with respect to your use of the Websites and Services, and supersede prior website terms and privacy policy versions as of the Effective Date, except for any separate written agreement expressly signed with SquirrelScore.
Any cause of action you may have with respect to your use of the Websites must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises, unless a longer period is required by applicable law.
If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these Terms or portion thereof to be unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to affect the intent of these Terms, and the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
This Privacy Policy describes how SquirrelScore collects, uses, shares, and protects Personal Information when you visit, use, exchange electronic messages with us, submit Public Forms, or otherwise interact with the Services. It also applies to information collected offline through trade shows, seminars, or other activities when that information is combined with Service data.
For platform operations, Christopher Mastic / SquirrelScore is the entity responsible for this Privacy Policy. Contest Producers are solely responsible for Contest-specific privacy notices, prize/publicity consents, and any DPAs with their participants. Where we process Contest data to operate the platform tools, we do so to provide the Services.

We may collect the following categories of information:
Name; username/login; email address; password; optional profile or application photos; role and Contest membership details; contestant/judge numbers or categories; MFA secrets and confirmation status; MFA recovery codes; and Account status (such as login enabled/disabled).
Public Form responses (including Producer-defined custom fields such as text, dates, phone, email, or choices); judge agreement responses; Pop Questions text and related fields; application review decisions and notes; scores; contestant feedback; producer feedback/notes; timing/penalty data; Chaos Ops preparation and task status; Contest settings and operational records; and exported report contents you generate.
IP address and connection metadata as processed by hosting, security, analytics, cookie-consent, and bot-prevention providers; browser and device information; approximate location derived from IP where a provider supplies it; timestamps; session identifiers; CSRF tokens; rate-limit and authentication events; web-server / CDN / firewall logs (for example, blocked requests, cache/CDN events, and abuse signals on the marketing website or other properties); wiki/editor authentication events where applicable; and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Services.
On the marketing website, and where enabled on other Websites, we may collect page-view and interaction data through analytics tools (including Google Analytics and related Google measurement tags), cookie-consent tooling (CookieYes), and hosting, CDN, or security tooling such as Cloudflare. On the wiki, we may collect reader/editor technical data needed to serve documentation and protect the wiki platform.
Email correspondence with us; transactional email events related to Account or Contest notices; and Feedback you send.
We do not currently require payment card numbers inside the application. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information about minors. Advertising / remarketing pixels beyond the analytics and security tools disclosed in these Terms are not part of the core Contest application; if we enable additional advertising technologies, we will update this Policy.

Session cookies are typically removed when the browser session ends or when the session expires. Some cookies are persistent for a defined period (for example, analytics cookies, consent cookies, short-lived MFA cookies, or form-auth cookies).
On the marketing website, we may use CookieYes (or a similar cookie-consent tool) to present a consent banner / preference center and to record your cookie choices. CookieYes may set its own cookies or use local storage to store your preferences and to help load or block optional scripts (such as analytics) according to your choices and applicable law.
You can usually change or withdraw non-essential cookie consent through the CookieYes banner / preference controls on the marketing website (for example, a "Cookie Settings" or similar link), in addition to browser controls. Essential cookies needed for security or basic site operation may still be used.
We use Google Analytics and may use related Google measurement / tag tools on one or more Websites (especially the marketing website and, where configured, the wiki or application). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how visitors use the Websites. Where CookieYes or a similar consent tool is enabled, optional analytics tags may load only after you consent, depending on configuration and applicable law.
Where enabled, Google Analytics Enhanced Measurement may automatically collect interaction events such as scrolls, outbound clicks, site search, video engagement, and file downloads, in addition to page views.
Information generated about your use of a Website (which may include your IP address, device/browser information, pages visited, and related usage data) may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States or other countries where Google operates. Google may use this information to evaluate your use of the Websites, compile reports on website activity for us, and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also process this data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Opt-out: You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (or any successor Google provides), by using CookieYes / cookie preference controls where available, and/or by using browser controls to block analytics cookies. Opting out may not disable all cookies used for security or essential site operation.
If we enable Google Analytics Advertising Features, remarketing, or similar Google advertising technologies, we will update this Policy and, where required, provide additional notice or consent mechanisms.
Core Contest scoring on the application does not require advertising cookies. We do not currently rely on Meta advertising pixels or similar non-Google marketing stacks as a primary tool. If we enable additional advertising cookies later, we will update this Policy and, where required, request consent.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. If you block required auth cookies, you may not be able to sign in, edit the wiki (where login is required), or complete passphrase-protected forms. Blocking analytics cookies typically does not prevent browsing public pages, but it may limit our ability to measure and improve the Websites. On the marketing website, use the CookieYes preference controls where available to manage optional cookies.
We use service providers to operate the Services. Different properties may use different processors. Current categories include (subject to change):

The marketing website is hosted separately from the Contest application and may use Cloudflare, CookieYes, and Google Analytics (and related Google tags) as configured. These tools may process IP addresses, user-agent strings, requested URLs, timestamps, blocked/allowed decisions, cache/CDN events, consent preferences, and similar technical or usage data to operate, secure, measure, and present the marketing website. Security and operational logs are used for protection, investigation, performance, and service integrity - not for Contest scoring.
Unless we say otherwise: the application's Contest data is primarily processed in the application hosting environment (plus processors such as Cloudflare and Brevo); marketing-site content and related hosting/CDN/consent/analytics logs (including Cloudflare, CookieYes, and Google Analytics) are processed in the marketing hosting / vendor environments; wiki documentation is processed in the wiki hosting environment. Cross-linking among https://www.squirrelscore.com, https://wiki.squirrelscore.com, and https://beta.squirrelscore.com does not by itself move Contest scores onto the marketing website.
We take appropriate steps to keep Personal Information confidential and share it with personnel and processors who need access for legitimate business purposes. Where required, we use contracts (including data-processing terms) with processors.
Important: Contest Producers may use their own third parties offline (spreadsheets, stage displays, printers, messaging apps). Those tools are outside SquirrelScore's control unless integrated into the Services.

We do not sell Personal Information. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not sold Personal Information and have not disclosed Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising as a business purpose unrelated to operating the Services.
The Websites have security measures in place, and SquirrelScore will use commercially reasonable efforts to protect against loss, misuse, and alteration of information under our control. Measures may include TLS encryption in transit; password hashing; optional MFA; HttpOnly/SameSite session cookies; CSRF protections; access controls; rate limiting; security response headers; Cloudflare performance and protection tooling; and bot-prevention tools such as Cloudflare Turnstile on the application.
Computing equipment is operated in secured environments appropriate to the deployment. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be 100% secure. SquirrelScore cannot warrant absolute security of information you transmit, and you do so at your own risk. You can help by using strong unique passwords, enabling MFA, and protecting your devices.
We retain Personal Information only as long as needed to:
When retention is no longer required, we delete or anonymize Personal Information where reasonably practicable. Contest deletion by a Producer removes associated Contest data subject to backup cycles and legal holds.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export Personal Information, or to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

Personal Information is stored and processed in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, US providers and authorities may have access under US law in ways that differ from your local law. You should not use the Services if you are not comfortable with US processing.
If you are a California resident, California law may provide rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing, and to non-discrimination for exercising rights. Submit requests to [email protected]. We do not sell Personal Information. If we engage in sharing that California law treats as a sale/share, we will provide a corresponding opt-out method.
Personal Information may be stored and processed in the United States. To review or update details we hold about you, contact [email protected].
If you provide information to us, it will be transferred to and processed in the United States. The United States may not be deemed to provide an "adequate" level of protection under your local law. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer tools and/or your consent / contract necessity to provide the Services. You may have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR as summarized in Section B.14, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because SquirrelScore is US-hosted and adults-only, EEA/UK users should carefully consider whether the Services are appropriate for their needs before submitting Personal Information.
These Websites and Services are not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 18, and we do not offer a parental-consent pathway. If you believe minor data was submitted, contact [email protected] immediately and we will take appropriate deletion steps, subject to legal obligations.
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. The Services currently do not respond to DNT signals in a special way across all properties. Analytics providers (including Google Analytics) may not treat DNT as an opt-out. Use the cookie/analytics choices in Section B.9 if you prefer to limit analytics.
If we make material changes to how we treat Personal Information, we will post the updated Terms/Privacy document at https://wiki.squirrelscore.com/en/legal/terms-of-service-and-privacy-policy, update the Last Modified date, and seek additional consent if legally required.
