Apply whole-number (integer) adjustments to a contestant's overall total when contest settings allow producer or tallymaster adjustments.
This is the "rulebook exception" lever - not a replacement for normal scoring. Use sparingly, document why, and be transparent with everyone involved (producers, tallymasters, judges, and contestants).
Common legitimate uses: published overall penalties, published overall bonus points, and an impromptu tiebreak when Automatic Tiebreak (or your manual peel) still leaves people tied - see Results & tiebreakers and Designing your contest.
- In Contest settings, enable Enable Producer Score Adjustment.
- Have contestants enrolled.
- Sort out who may enter adjustments (producer, tallymaster, or both in practice).
- Know the number you will be entering (positive adds, negative subtracts).
- Open the contest.
- Go to Results, then open Score adjustments.
- Find the contestant in the list.
- Enter the integer adjustment (whole number only).
- Save / update using the page's save control.
- Return to Results and confirm the overall total moved as expected.
- If you need to undo, set the adjustment back to
0 (or the corrected integer) and save again.

- Available only when the score adjustment contest setting is enabled in Manage.
- Visible in Results / exports.
If the setting is off, you won't get a usable adjustments workflow - turn it on in settings first.
Before you save an adjustment, record and publish where others (producers, tallymasters, and judges) can see:
- Contestant number and name
- Adjustment amount
- Rule citation or reason
- Who approved it (producer/tallymaster)
- Timestamp
Don't hide it, be fully transparent.
- Document why you adjusted (penalty, bonus points, tiebreaker, etc).
- Make adjustments before Emcee Reveal - scoring should be done and dusted before revealing results.
- Sort who is allowed to apply an adjustment and define what the adjustments will be - and make sure at least producers, tallymasters, judges, and contestants are aware!
- After saving, re-check Results.
- Trying to enter decimals.
- Forgetting to enable the setting, then assuming the feature is broken.
- Adjusting the wrong contestant because two people share a similar stage name - check numbers.
- Leaving a test
+100 in place from rehearsal. Yes, things like this happen.
Can tallymasters adjust too?
When the setting is on, producers or tallymasters can enter the integer adjustment.
Does this replace Olympic scoring?
No. It's a separate overall tweak.
Will contestants see the adjustment?
They may see impacts through results/packets depending on what you publish. Don't rely on mystery math for goodwill.
