See which contests you're supporting, what position you hold, and what prep still matters - without getting dragged into scoring or results screens you don't need (and shouldn't peek at anyways).
- Have an approved volunteer assignment (or a public apply link if you're still applying)
- Know your login if the producer created an account for you
- Bring the same energy you'd bring to "where do you need me?" - this app just gives you a map
- Log in as a volunteer (or finish Applying to volunteer first).
- Open My Contests.
- Find the contest you're working.
- Note your position if it's shown on the card or details.
- Open the contest to view Contest Details.
- Open My preparation when Chaos Ops prep is enabled.
- Use those pages to stay oriented - then do the real-world volunteer magic offline.

Prep only - no scoring/results. If you can see those tools, you may also have another role on the contest. Check with your producer immediately.
- Read Contest Details before you ask the producer the same schedule question in three chats.
- If prep items look wrong, message the producer - they update checkboxes.
- Shared phones or computer at the volunteer desk: log out when you step away.
- Hunting for Results because a friend who's judging has that menu
- Ignoring My preparation until someone asks for your headshot at the check-in table
- Opening the wrong contest when you volunteer for two events
Do I need an account to apply?
Not always - start from the public volunteer link. An account comes after approval when the producer sets you up.
Can I change my position in the app?
Usually the producer assigns/edits positions. Ask them rather than just doing it.
Where's scoring?
Volunteers don't score. Judges and tallymasters do.
